Bag problems
Another bag thread, oh no!
I just got my new Reload Courier messenger bag in today. Took it for a run to the grocery store. At first things were feeling good but then it felt like everything slid down to the bottom right side (it is a left shoulder bag). Once this happened the bag started shifting more and more to the right until it was in the way and I had to stop to get it back into the right position. I had the thing pretty tight and the sternum strap was in place and pretty tight. Any suggestions?

pack your groceries better. i hardly ever need the sternum strap on my bag (not reload), but depending on what's in it, it just doesn't want to cooperate sometimes.

Make sure you distribute the contents as evenly across the bag as possible, then close the flap as tight as you can. If you got the base compression straps, use them too - the more the bag conforms to the contents, the less they'll move around.
As mrbertfixy said though, sometimes things just don't cooperate.

Yeah, I was thinking it might take some getting used to as far as packing. But in that case, any suggestions on packing?

use the waist belt, not the sternum strap. It's the ugliest option, but if function is what you're caring about, it's the way to go. Sorry

also pack the heavier stuff on the high side of the bag, this way most of the weight is on your upper back and not at your kidney
