Frame Pad
Instead of buying one from Reload I thought I'd make my own but what kind of padding material do I use...non of the insulation tubing for pipes suggestions...that's just so huge!
I was planning to do a nice design on it...probably something with robots or monsters or something.

you can use cotton and sew it up like a pillow for your top tube.

I do have a yoga mat that I don't used...maybe I could just layer it so it would be thicker.

may need topstitch the yoga mats togther so they don't shift over time.
and look for a non slip type material for the under layer. My reload one rotates around and shifts back to front all the time.

Two of my friends have a company called Robots Sell. They'll draw some sweet scenes of mayhem on that thang with robots for a small fee.

If you're looking to sew your own pad, you should go and check out the pipe insulation at the hardware store... back in the BMX days, we'd get some foam pipe insulation and just wrap the whole thing with a ton of electral tape.

you know that diy top tube pad thread that's up now, too? yeah, same dude, but with a new thread that shows he got all the answers he needed from this thread. or elsewhere. either way, this thread has pretty much run its course.
