Fgg 3,137.

LeMond Fillmore.

Any Chicago locals recognize this bike, or even more so does the owner post here?

I love it with those straight bars.

I'm pretty sure the owner posts on the roadbikereview fixed gear forum if you want to talk to them. Just do a search for Lemond Fillmore.

I just read his blog. He likes to brag about passing other bikers, and complain about being pooped n by birds.

The bragging of passing other riders is lost on me. Yet it's a genre of it's own. Like the drunks singing 'My Way' at a karaoke bar.

Oh wow this was bumped.

Thanks for the information . I had a little question to ask him, so i'll try to find him on roadbikereview.

Re passing and bragging: Meh... he will be dropped by an old timer one day. It always happens.

Re poop: I would complain as well. **** is nasty.

Complaining about poop is one thing. Blogging about it... well actually I guess that's pretty typical blog fodder. "Dear interweb, a bird pooped on me today. Damn bird!"

It is so true.

I have only seen a couple good blogs out there. Most are about relationships or poop.

Shatner would probably talk about poop also >.>

Yeah, I know the guy. He works at a shop here in town. He's around the forums, too. I know his name and where he works, but I'm not telling.

Wow, sorry I missed this thread for so long.

Didn't realize I was "bragging". Funny coming from you since you don't know me. Thanks for the judgment, but it's pretty well known from my friends/family (who the blog was intended for) that I fancy myself as very slow. I am also not very competitive which is why that particular story was supposed to be funny cause I am more the "Hey, how's your ride going? Nice to see you." Type of commuter.

And really, do YOU like being shat upon. I doubt it. But it is kind of funny.

Enough defending myself to the quick-to-judge.

Glad some of you enjoy my ride. I truly love this bike and welcome any questions you might have. As an "off the peg" fixed gear bike goes I think it is a great bargain and a bike to have for a very long time. The frame itself is worth it.

The riser/mountain bars were something fun I wanted to try out. Now it's been a few months and it's time to switch back. I plan on going back to the bullhorns for Cardstock's No NOS sprint race....Where I hope to not be eliminated right away!! Because again, I am slow.

Have a nice ride.

I've been riding on them for a few months now. At first I planned on using them only for special occasions and when the weather was nice. After a while though, they just kind of grew on me and I use them every day now. Rain, snow or shine. The bearings run real smooth, although I needed to fiddle with tightening and lossening the hubs before I got them right. It's not too hard though and they run perfect now.

Pretty stiff, a little heavy, but no worse than some Deep Vs and a decent hub. Those bladed spokes look great but they kind of act like a wind tunnel if your pants get too close WHOOSH!!!

I recommend.

^That would explain why his cog is on backwards.

You guessed it. That seemed to solve the problem.

It was just a little off when the cog was first installed. I had anticipated this and thought flipping the cog would do the trick

ok, so i know this isn't really related to this thread, and i did a quick search but dind't find too much (i also didn't really look that hard). anyway, i wanted to submit a bike to fixed gear gallery, and i know he asks for donations with the submissions. soo for the people who have bikes on there, how much did you give, i was thinking just five bucks but i really have no idea.

thanks, and sorry to change the subject of the thread
