Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Looking for bike selling tips.

I just roached the hub on my track bike, and can get a good road bike from my teams sponsors for very cheap... so looks like she's going bye-bye. Anyone have any tips for selling bikes on ebay? You think I'll be able to get more money selling it as a complete bike (w/o the wheels) or parting it out? Any other advice about shipping bikes?

Parting it out almost always gets more money, unless it's a complete matching gruppo (All NJS, campy, or whatever). But, it is always more hassle that way. Save yourself some time and money, and just give it to me.

You're selling an entire bike just because you messed up a hub?

this isn't a for sale thread because I know thats not too kosher 'round these parts.

But the reason I ask about specific selling tips is because its a cheaper frame some nice parts and others that were put on just to get me rollin'
The bike is a 59 cm Fetish Position frame that i took all the decals off.

Spec:

Planet X straight-bladed aero carbon fork
FSA Vigorelli 170mm 49 tooth cranks.
matching FSA adjustable track BB
Deda Pista Elementi bars - the matte black ones
Black non-machined Deep-Vs laced to Formula hubs.
-the rear hub has some pretty toasted lockring threads. I rotafixa'd the cog on there and was able to get maybe one or two threads for the lockring, enough so that skidding doesn't loosen anything.
Selle Italia Turbomatic 4 red saddle
Red Rubino tires
Felt St-22 stem 110mm
Ritchey Comp seatpost
nashbar seatpost collar.

Like a said a couple decent parts, roached lockring threads, and the rest is just so-so.

I just want to figure out how to get enough out of the sale to go towards a new road bike, since i can get such a good deal from my school team.

Thanks
