Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

anyone in new york have...

a 105 or 110 1" threaded stem i can borrow. i'm gettin my circle a this week and i'm going to have Johnny Coast build a stem for me, but i wanted to compare 105 and 110 and see what i wanted to go with. if anyone has either of these laying around that i could borrow for a bit that'd be rad. i want a road style stem not too much drop.

that'd be awesome. i'd only need to use it for a week or so.

i guess really the difference between 105 and 110 is pretty negligible and could be compensated for by seat position huh?

haha damnit! i was about to make that joke.

and yeah, i know 5mm isn't anything really, but when i've been so anal about measurements for a custom build so far, and i'm getting a custom stem, i just feel the need to be extra retentive.

its a cropping of a panel from an 80's dc comic called the shadow, drawn by bill senkowitz. i've had it scanned for a few years and always loved the image. the rest of the panel is pretty bad ass too, unfortunately I dont have it on my work computer.

heres a larger image. behind the figures is a masked bandit shooting guns in the air laughing like the mad man he is, and to the right there are lots of people freaking out and running away.

Hey man. Why didn't you just name this thread: "anyone in new york have a 105 or 110 1" threaded stem i can borrow?"
