Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

What frames have dropouts like this?

Besides the Karate monkey? I dig that frame a lot, but I'd prefer 26" wheels. If I can quit smoking for three months, I'm buying myself a new bike. I'm trying to get myself stoked.

those are Surly dropouts. the Pugsley has them, and the 1x1 has them minus the derailure hanger. Steamroller has them without the derailure hanger or eyelets.

I think that's a great reward for yourself! When you get the new bike ride the **** out of it. every time you want a cigarette go for a ride and kill yourself on the bike.

yeah, I want the bike to be my last-forever rain bike, or possibly mountain bike if I ever move somwhere with trails, so I want the deraliier hanger. It'll probably start with a internally geared wheel, and eventually get a fixed wheel for variety.

or is the OP just looking for singlespeed MTB frames that are disc-compatible?

if that's the case there are several
The new Redline Monocog (both the 26" and 29er versions) has similar dropouts to this. minus the deraileur hanger.
I think VooDoo has a few.
Gary Fisher too

If all you want is a SS capable bike with a derailleur hanger, you have a lot more options than the Karate Monkey. The Kona Unit, Unit 2-9, Explosif, and Sutra all have sliding dropouts with a derailleur hanger. Any bike with an EBB and a derailleur hanger would work also (such as the Salsa Juan Solo or El Mariachi or the Voodoo Wanga One). There are also a lot of custom options for this type of thing also. The Azonic Steelhead also has horizontal dropouts with a hanger. I'm sure there are a bunch of other ones too, but these are just off the top of my head...

yes that's what I was thinking of thanks, and although I couldn't remember who made it I did remember correctly that it has a der hanger. It's even removeable.
