Hell Yes London Mess! Mayday Mayday Was A Success!
Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to everyone who helped yesterday with 1%'s Mayday Mayday race. We had 14 riders and the race went off almost flawlessly (I think we only lost two people in the riot crowds).
In total we raised £158.55 for BMEF and the London Bike Messenger Association between the race, the afterparty, and the bar proceeds. That (to paraphrase another member of the forums) is the frickin Jam.
We'll be sending out a paypal payment to BMEF for £100 later today when I work out some details and hooking up LBMA with the funds in cash sometime this week.
Massive love to the whole 1% crew especially Techone for really setting the checkpoints, Salmonchild, Momentum, Tresspasser, Fixedpip, Jacqui, Chris the courier DJ (it's how he likes to be called), Risa, Mark, Lisa, and everybody else who pitched in. Also props to Brixton Cycles, Bikefix, Condor, Edwardes, Mosquito, Witcomb and Kiwi Cycles for helping us out with prizes.
Pictures coming soon. If you have any please please send em over so I can put together an album somewhere.
Peace and Bikes,
Jack

Big props to IOC for organising it - all good fun and a wicked way to raise some cash for the BMEF and LBMA.

Damn! Now there's internet proof that I drink too much, so it must be true...
Damn that bar to hell for making me buy 3 bottles of beer at a time!
Excellent day and good times all around! Need more pics!

Hahahaha dude I had to steal your sh*t and lock it in the back of Mark's van last night just to make sure you didn't ride it home. I don't know how you do it but it's heroic. There will be many many more pics up later this week. Here's another taster though.

Huge props to IOC and Tech for throwing this thing, it was a great day even with all the old bill around making life a little tougher.
I hope Tech that you're doing better as the photos paint a sorry tale.
Sadly I have no photos to contribute, I had my hands full ensuring the racers did their callisthenics.
