Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

edit: and YES he could still kick you asses with broken feets and all... so

i already found the squid.

i'll be there on tuesday, earlier than most peeps. i need to keep myself occupied with **** for a few days on my own (or with anyone who is free during the day/night). restaurants, movies, books, comedy, theater, etc.

i'm trying to gain a diabolical advantage over everyone with my extra couple days.

i'm thinking 48x18 for around town, and possibly a freewheel for the race. **** hills.

SPENCER! I'll be there aruond 630-7ish tonight, look for the faded green peugeot with yellow wheels, white bar tape and a red bow!

And as for Mr. Bert, anything having gear inches in the low 70's will be fine, I run 46x17 which is prolly similar to what other SF's have, I think. Right guys, or am I an anomaly?

I'm announcing my non-visit to SF. Boo hoo.

Might be travelling to see my family regarding medical things n' stuffs.

However, I'm planning on a make up SF trip, likely in the fall to meet some of you ruffians and hooligans.

Boo. Judah -- thanks for the space this time round, looks like I'll have to reserve it for another time.

I don't think your going to have to worry about the messengers taking all the prizes on this one. they don't have 20$ to race as a collective. Mash fam is paid if anyone wants to race.

I only know 2 messengers with nice bikes, and they don't work on them. the rest have loose, rust buckets. the only keirin nerds I have met are desk jockies.

oh i wasnt really referring to messengers..ive just heard a couple people have been complaining in general about the price.spokecard,beer,t-shirt,tacos.......and prizes if you place well.and then were donating whatever's left over after we recoup the money we spent out of our pockets...... just want everyone to have a good time.

people dont realize that this **** cosys money, up front out of pocket on you guys......t-shirts are not cheap, and most often you dont sell all of them, spoke cards take alot of time and money too, if you dont have a way around the money part........yea stealing laminate.....and all the time it takes just to put it together, printing fliers, designing ****, keeping in contact with all the sponsors....if it is going to cost you 20 bucks so be it.........if there is any "extra" money left over after things are re-couped, it is alwys nice to put that toward BMEF or something
