looking for pista concept frameset... help!

so it's a long and sordid story, but TSA trashed my felt, i'm looking for a replacement frameset, and bianchi isn't selling the pista concept as a frameset any more apparently. so... does anyone know of a bike shop or online that has a 61cm or even a 59cm concept frameset for sale? i'd much rather get the frameset for $599 than the complete for $1399 and then part it out.

i can't stand this...so hating TSA.

Do what Carleton did, just call Bianchi distributors around the country (starting with the closest to where you live) and ask.
That's how I found my Pake when I was searching for it.

i filed a claim yesterday, but i can't wait the two months for them to make a decision. i talked to a TSA official back in california and he seemed to think that there wouldn't be any reason they wouldn't pay... so i am taking the risk that they won't pay at all, but i can't stand to wait.

If TSA takes a while and you don't find the Pista Concept I got a 59cm Surly Steamroller that's less than a month old that I won't be using. I installed a Aheadset and removed the stickers.

If you are interested hit me on PM or email. Email is more reliable.

Edit: I'm talking about just the frame/fork only.

ah man, I read what you said on Flickr. Sucks but here is a contribution and I hope it gets you headed in the right direction. I hope you are back on a bike and in traffic ASAP.

sorry to hear that hot tk2 is no more. i have to say i'd be a little hotter for a NOS cannondale track than the concept, but both are really slick

i had three people look at it and all were on the fence, as was i. the person i trust the most said, "you could ride it, but it should be replaced sooner rather than later." i opted for sooner. i'm a big guy, ride hard, and really couldn't trust the frame any more. i didn't want to ride it to failure, and have it fail on me cornering or in traffic.

so, de facto terminal.

Call trackstar, they might be able to get one for you. They were selling a NOS 2004 for about $500 so I'd give them a ring to see if they can get anymore.

I really can't see someone buying a complete Pista Concept and changing just about all of the parts and building custom wheels to replace the stock to ride it 5 times. That dog don't hunt.
