Chainring bolts for Suntour Surperbe
I've been trying to get my suntour superbe crank to stop squeaking and after pulling the crank and overhauling the BB, I discovered that it was the chainring bolts. I think maybe I unconciously force myself to do everything I can think to do before checking the chainring bolts. i've overhauled three BB's that way. Anyway, the bolts on it bottomed out before tightening on the chainring and spider. I tried other single stack and track bolts and they all do the same thing. I've made it work using road bolts and washers, but is this the best I can do? Do i need to wait for years for some propriatary suntour pista bolts to come up on ebay?
I've checked all the cataloges and all single stack/ BMX/ Track bolts all have the same 6mm depth.

I flipped my chain ring... the holes for the bolts were only sunken on one side of the chain ring... when I flipped them I got a couple of millimeters of extra width and the bolts then had tension.

I have some not-so-specialized parts as far as I know but a similar problem with noise and the chainring bolts continually loosening on my bike. Some meedjum strength blue loctite on those has so far seemed to solve that problem for me.
