1/2 the field will forget the directions.

edit: I was hoping, based on the title of the race, that there would be a few real hills. Like...suburbs hills.

we are very liberal when defining hills in chicago. i think even a ramp from a sidewalk to a street qualifies as a hill by our standards.

By Chicago standards this should be called "A few mountains". Who's doing the frozen snot century the day before? Maximum bad-ass points.

I am! I might decide not to do the tour, but I probably will do it and just take it very easy.

I'll be leading a practice run of the course next Thursday night. I'll be at Cal's (Van Buren and Wells) and leave around 6:30 pm.

Welcome aboard Mike.

I've mentioned it before, but does at least one person on this board know a screenprinter, or have some experience making shirts? The TdC has a great logo this year, and it would be a shame not to see it on the chests of cyclists for years to come.

I hope too - The Girl and I have a few appointments to look at some apartments but that should be earlier in the evening. If we're late, I'll call and find out where you are.

By the way - it looks rain all day now tomorrow.

By 8pm it is only 30% - btw, bring the ladies along, this will be a social, non-athletic ride.

T-shirts are already in the works. Some guy in Florida that Russell knows is printing them. He's shipping them to Upgrade this Friday, so hopefully they'll be available by Stage 5. They're navy blue with the logo (slightly redesigned) on the chest. The back has the logos of the tour sponsors. I'll have 50 small, 25 medium, and 25 large. They cost $4.50 a shirt plus shipping, so I'll probably charge eight bucks each...or maybe do some sort of 12 bucks = entry fee plus t-shirt deal.

BTW, Val (Salome?) has pointed out some scoring irregularities to me that I'll be fixing shortly. If anyone sees any others please let me know. There's a lot of data to keep track of and the more eyes I have proofing stuff the better. Thanks,
Mike

Just wanted to bump this back to the top...

I'm up for this practice run if it's still happening. Weather should be quite nice.

watch out for that transition from clark to lincoln. left off of clark and then a hard right onto lincoln where there is always plenty of parked cars. too much speed off clark will kill you, and may cause a pile up.
