Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Universal Cycles

I haven't seen much info on Universal Cycles here on the forums and I thought I'd share my experience with them thus far. Below is my order, prices seem reasonable enough. One of the deciding factors to use them was finding these three items at the same online store. Order was placed on 06.05.06. and shipped yesterday. Estimated delivery is 10 days from date of order which I guess isn't too bad.

Order Details:
Item # Product Price Qty Total

4775-10298 Cane Creek 200TT Reverse Brake Levers 200TT Alloy Black $23.00 1 $23.00

6364-13751 Shimano BR-550-57 Long Reach Brake Caliper Front $27.99 1 $27.99

7243-15396 Shimano Dura-Ace Track Cogs 3/32 Inch x 14t $19.99 1 $19.99

That place is dangerous. I can go in to buy a 6 pack of pabst but I can't seem to walk out without a twelve year old scotch and a fin du monde.

i think you can find the DA cog cheaper at other online stores, but you may have saved on shipping...

i ordered a pair of sidi dominators and time atac xs carbon pedals for them a couple of weeks ago. with the 15% discount special they were running i got them for $290 shipped. i really like that they offer usps priority as a shipping option. it took them a couple of days to get it out after i had ordered, but they were quick to respond to the couple of emails that i sent them. the order was packed well, and everything was in perfect condition.

Enlighten me, please, for future use. Harris Cyclery sells'em for $21.95.

They unfortunately don't appear to ship Shimano though. You have to pick it up.
