Single speed cyclocross frame options?
What are my options for off-the-peg (affordable) single speed cyclocross frames? The cross-check is the only one I'm that familiar with. There's the Quickbeam, but I haven't got $900 to spend.
I'm looking for something that I could run a fixed/free rear hub on, so horizontal dropouts are a must. I'm well aware of the White Industries ENO hub and I'd really like a SS specific frame.
I'm open to any bike with track ends and relaxed geometry that will accomodate larger tires.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have no idea how I overlooked the IRO. ha.
I considered the San Jose, but I was hoping to build it up with slightly nicer components. I wouldn't normally care, but it does not come with a fixed hub and I'd have to replace that no matter what. I've already got a wheelset that I wanted to use.

Woot! The search funtion actually helped me for once.
Anyone have other ideas to add to this list of frames that would be functional for building up a cyclocross-esque (non-fixed) single speed? I'm looking at the PhantomCross Uno or salvaging an older frame but I'm open to other ideas too.

Good luck with that. Good touring bikes go for big bucks. If you can get them for $5, pick me up a 55 and I'll pay you a handsome finders fee.

Were you saying rear brakes are a PITA with track ends? Well, maybe I don't even care, 'cause I'm not really anticipating any FG mid-ride gear changes (ie, wheel flips, or cog changes) at this point.
