Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

If you ever want to invest in a bike company

https://www.google.com/trends?q=trek+...o=all&date=all

Looks like searches for Trek bikes ebb and flow with the Tour, but there is a general upward trend. Other bike manufacturers also have such spikes, but not as big, except Huffy.

Generally, searches for bikes are going up, with the exception of Litespeed -- that's been going down slightly over the past 2 years. The biggest gain is Trek (and also Giant). Cervelo also has some healthy gains. Colnago is pretty stagnant. Huffy is stagnant too.

And, to put the Shimano/Campy debate to rest:

It's my fault. I've tried to cut back, but just haven't been able to stop myself.

"fixed gear" shows a better trend than "track bike"

Bikes: highly modified specialized crossroads and GT hybrid (really a [formerly] 12-speed bmx cruiser, made before 'hybrid' took on its current meaning), as yet unmodified redline 925, couple of other projects
