Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

good topic.

Iona in Wburg seemed well set-up, though very crowded. So crowded in fact, that on Tuesday I craned my neck and watched the game at Clem's instead. At least they have a 6-hour long happy hour and a few good drafts.

11th Street Bar (between A and B) has a great setup for the World Cup.

Greeny,

I might catch the Germany game at Kinsale on the UES...and then maybe put a curse on Italy at a beer garden in Queens.

Really, **** the Italians...sorry.

edit: I don't know who you are a fan of.

i don't live in NY, but....

France for the win. which is unfortunate, because italy really took a beating, physically, from the krauts, but i don't think they have what it takes.

i got a myspace invite from a friend to go to lunasa on 1st ave (downtown somewhere), but i'd trust roscoe on the 11th street bar idea. i'm going to rally the chicago people right now for our viewing.
