Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Question for those who use Shimano 600 cranks...

With the chainring on the outside:

1. What side BB are you using?

2. What is your chainline?

I'm planning a new build and will most likely be using these cranks. I'd like to get my chainline nailed from the get-go.

Is there anything I should be taking into consideration?

Any help appreciated.

I had a pair of 600 (old ultegra) cranks on my cross bike when it was fixed/ss a few years back. I can't remember the any thing specific about them other than they worked great. A friend of mine crashed riding fixed in a cross race and killed em. I would still have em other wise.
