Pics to Tokyo Alley Cat, Mixpression 6 July 16th 2006

Here's the link on my flickr page.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/genkinogen/

The alley cat race took me over 3 hours. I didn't go to the NYC's world event last year but I was told from a person who was there that mixpression events are at least 2x the distance.

The race was insane.. Super long. Plus the English version of the manifest was wrong in few places which resulted in only one person being able to finish the race.

Skid was crazy. The first dude who competed actually hit the post at the end of the road... He won. I'll try to find out exactly how long it was.

Except for the frustration of reading Japanese maps, a wrong address, and a wrong direction it totally kicked ass.

The winner of the alley cat race gets a big phat black bag and keeps it until the next race. A dude named Shino had been winning 3 times in a row and this was the first time he lost!

Abasa was there too.

People are totally friendly here.

Tons of biz oppotunity. Let me know and I can do my best to connect you to the right peeps.

Sayonara!

Remember when I said that Oliver at Shop Gentei goes to Japan to bring back dope stuff in the "Illmatic Panasonic" thread?

Don't sleep on Shop Gentei.

check out kansai flea market or do a search for jobs in japan. if you went to college and speak english, you can easily make $28,000US. but be sure you're living IN a big city. otherwise, your fixie will be treated like the plague. and plan on having cars turn into you regularly.
