Two wheelsets

Hello all,

I know have two wheelsets...

1. Generic (some rear wheel that came with bike, and a bonty select front

2. Mavic ellipse track wheelset

Currently I am running a 16 freewheel (group rides and downhills/tired bailout) and a 15 fixed cog. I have the mavics with nothing on them and am looking for a choice...

If I install the 15/16free combo on my mavics will they holdup well to everyday riding? I am thinking about putting a 16 fixed cog on the generic set (and maybe a 14) and use it on the rollers (which do wonders for nice tires) and as a backup set (if the mavics go down). Is this really a viable option?

And yes I know the black anodizing will die in about a week. - I expect that one!

Thanks as always.

BTW I will post a review on my bowery here when I can - have plenty of people asking - and I got it to 17.9 pounds in XL...
