IRO MarkV or Raleigh Rush Hour?

I've been messing around on some friends' fixies and I'm finally ready to throw down for my own. It will be my first. I've checked out all the typical affordable options (i.e. Pista, Fuji Track, Langster, etc.) and have narrowed it down to the IRO MarkV or the Rush Hour. I was initaially set on the Rush Hour, but checking out the MarkV has got me stuck. I like the stripped down look of the MarkV and I 've only good things about IRO, but the Rush Hour is probably more practical for the weather ( I live in Portland,OR). This is going to be my daily commuter and my one and only. Any thoughts?

get the iro! i know people with iros and they love those bikes more than anything else.

neither have fender mounts. i'm not sure how important this is for you. in warmer weather, a clip on rear fender is adequate. however, in the winter fulll fenders make a difference. cold rain, slush and water are hell on the toes. also, the front wheel tends to kick a lot of salt, sand and water up onto the chain and frame. i was able to fit a set of sks p35's on my mark v last winter. it wasn't too difficult with 23mm tires. it wasn't an ideal solution, but it worked well enough.

i love my mark v to death, but i'm in the process of converting an 84 schwinn world to be my commuter/bad weather bike. last winter was hard on my mark v and components. that and i'd like to put nicer running tires on my mark v.

personally, i think the jamie roy is a better "all around" bike, and that the mark v and angus are best when they aren't the only bike you have when you have to ride in all weather.

Go for the IRO. I've rode both and ended up with the IRO and it rocks. The build is a bit nicer, particularly the wheels. Sers is right about the rust factor with aluminum but cromo is the way to go for longer rides IMHO. No fender mounts, true. But surely you can rig that one up. Also, the IRO geometry is a bit less slack or a bit more aggressive. Plus the fact that you can call Tony to get it dialed in to fit you is just awsome. I'm assuming you're getting a complete bike.
