Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Cheap Mess Bag Works Ok

I picked this guy up on state street in Madison for $40.

https://www.ampactravelware.com/AM02-3211.htm

I'd like a little more storage (it comes with 1500 +) and the shoulder pad could be beefed up, but for $40 this seems to work OK---I actually rode my bike into work for the first time since I started my job up here a year ago and was able to fit all my change of clothes, shoes, lock, glasses, wallet, cell, and a few flat file folders in here. My back did get all sweaty though---oh well. All and all, this seems like a good purchase for the money. I was gonna save up for a Banjo Brothers but couldn't find any shop around here that sold em. I might still get a B.B. but for now this seems to work OK---I just hope it doesnt break in a week, but it seems to be pretty sturdy.

Well, I don't messenger, and am using it for daily 1/2 hr commutes to and from work. if it falls apart, i'll get the banjo brothers---but i dont see the need to spend $90 on something that is desgined for professional use right away. I'm all about being utilitarian and not buying more than what i need.

Maybee i'm wrong and it will crap out, but the construction seems pretty sturdy.

Hey, I have a Specialized mess bag that I got off Craigslist for $25 and it is the ****. It's pretty comfortable. I think I've gotten 25 out of it so far and it's taking the beatings I give thus far.
