Has anyone laced the bottom of their Brooks B-17?

And how did it affect the comfort of the saddle? Did the lacing on the sides cause any discomfort?

I laced mine earlier this year, and it helped considerably. The saddle is noticeably firmer and there is less leg chafing. I recommend it. Hope this helps.

I laced mine before ever riding it, so I can't compare it to the stock saddle, but it's stiff as hell in the nose and nice and narrow which is what I was going for. I think it's easy to get an idea for the effect by pressing the skirts together and pressing on the saddle. much stiffer across the top and no "spread". SOrt of minimizes the hammock effect.

I've got an old Wright w3n that is not laced. It's also a comfortable saddle, but it's way soft compared to my new chopped and laced B17 Champion Special.

I'm considering this as well. My B17 is flaring out on the sides something fierce.

Any pics of what they look like laced up?
