Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Scored! Motobecane Grand Record

Just picked this up. Last thing in the world I need is another bike I just blew ALL my cash on a new Fixie, but it was a real steal:-} Black and red lugged frame, campy dropouts in near mint shape with a near mint brooks professional saddle and nitto forged stem, campy nuevo record cages, the lugs are giving me a halfy. Anyone know how I can figure out what year it is? Seems most the mid 70 Moto GR's where spec'd this way. Only bummer is drops and brake levers where replaced with new mustache bars and dia compe levers. I love getting a deal

Them be riser bars, matey. But the shifters/ders/crankset is pure sex. I would do it. Slap on some old SAKAE CUSTOM bars and make her period correct, I say. And ixnay on the kickstand.
