I don't get the fascination with these cheap, off the shelf bikes either.

it might be nice to be able to just buy a bike for cheap and know that it will do what you want
it might be nice to be able to just buy a bike for cheap so you can get back into riding
you can always switch out parts later.............why hate on these bikes....

I don't love the decals, but it looks like a nice ride. If you stripped it of the Schwinn stickers, it will look just as good as anything else in its price range and of course you can upgrade and modify it at your leisure. In the meantime, it's a fine, servicable bicycle and I can't wait until someone is selling one on Craigslist for $300.

On the spec sheet, it says it has a 108 mm BB spindle. Is that going to screw up the chainline? My Langster came off the shelf with the chainring at 45 mm (on the outer position with a 103 mm BB spindle) and the freewheel/cog at 42 mm.

Weight weenie? I've never been called that before but I guess if I'm going to haul 21+ pounds around and not have gears than sure. I haven't been following the newer complete fixes coming out but I think some non plumbing pipe bikes are out there. What about the Cannondale Major Taylor, Specialized Langster?
Whatever though, a deal is a deal-go for it.

a quick google turned up this about the langster
https://forums.roadbikereview.com/sho...near#post23526
the major taylor is no longer offered (i don't think) but i do not believe it was in the same price range as these bikes. it had a Dura-Ace crank which is a bit of a clue for me.
