It is the most perfect bike. I've been watching it on Ebay and I hope it goes up more. It is worth more. I hope it goes to a great home though.

griffin_ 09-04-06 02:27 PM

whats the thing on/in the rear hub in the last pic on ebay?

el twe 09-04-06 02:34 PM

That was covered in the Photo sticky. The wheelset is a prototype (sort of) for the Cane Creek Volos track wheels. They have an odd flange design.

Retem 09-04-06 02:35 PM

that is the rear hub it is the original version of the now branded cane creek volos they were originally made by another company

sorry to hear that 128, hope everything works out

jacobpriest 09-04-06 04:09 PM

now thats it gone, what did you pay?

onetwentyeight 09-04-06 04:17 PM

Haha. A good less than i just sold it for, thats for sure :)

jacobpriest 09-04-06 10:52 PM

and whats with the complete 3rensho going for a 100 less with full campy group. thats messed up.
I think if the seller put NJS or Keirin in his title it would have fetched so much more.

onetwentyeight 09-04-06 11:01 PM

few reasons... people tend to prefer getting frames by themselves and building it up on their own, and a full campy group on a 3rensho is kinda wierd. Also the fork wasnt original. Furthermore, the seller had listed it the previous week, but then cancelled all the bids before it was about to end, before relisting it again. Probably sketched people out. That been said, whoever won got a good deal.

jacobpriest 09-04-06 11:07 PM

yeah a damn good deal.
they could use that campy gear for other **** tho and basically have a free group.
man i wish i had the cash right now.

dirtyphotons 09-05-06 07:12 AM

hey 128

that was a beautiful frame, sorry to see it go. looks like you got a fair price (not that i have any idea how to price a bike like that). if i had the money, i'd have tried to snag it for sure.

EDIT: i'm a little behind on the conversation here, but i started my own thread witout bothering to look if there was an existing one. sorry to hear about your medical bills, hope you're okay.

Retem 09-05-06 12:38 PM
