track bikes on mtv?!
so i dont know if this has been posted. but i did search so eat a dick
on mtvs "parental control" one of the girls(cute as ****) took the dude to a velodrome and did a couple laps

I think it's worse that you were watching MTV. At least they were out riding.
Hopefully more people will come out and pay racer fees and race and help preserve a decent sport.

Probably a little off topic-I read somewhere that from the turn of the last century up untill around WW2 that track bicycle racing was just as popular as baseball and every major city had a velodrome. Wouldn't it be nice if that could happen again.

You can think that all it takes is putting a right foot down, but I'd have to agree to disagree.

I just appreciate both the spandex wearing leg shaving races where "Fast" is 35, and the machines involved... as well as the race cars.

the producers at MTV are just like me & you. As a matter of fact, I know for sure that at least 1 bikeforums member has worked there recently, and I'd almost be willing to put money on the fact that there are probably a few that work for viacom right now. (occasionally, I freelance for them). If ONE kid watching MTV wants to go race or spectate out at the velodrome because he saw this show, I think that's ******** awesome.

i have a few friends who have worked for mtv, vh1, and the fuse. good folks who are all active in the DIY hardcore scene. i've been asked to be on mtv shows a few time, as well as that channel the fuse. i passed.
