handmade tool/seat bags?

Anyone know of artisan folks that make/can make a simple buckled and somewhat water resistant tool roll/tool bag to hang from brooks saddle loops and/or seat rails?

I'm thinking something simple like brooks bags made out of stitched vinyl (i.e.: queen bee handbags: www.buyolympia.com/queenbee/ ) more than the ubiquitous REI/outdoor adventure gear chic. Why is this so hard to find?

I would do it myself but my sewing machine isn't strong enough to stitch anything thicker than jeans (if that).

I checked out Jen Diamond in L.A. ( www.jendiamond.com ), but her site is busted (I like some of her jerseys, though).

DC area people, especially, hit me up.

don't know where else to post this (mods please move to appropriate forum if needed)--did many searches, came up zeros, I actually ride fixed, and y'all seem to have a good handle on artisan productions.

those are nice bags, but I don't need anything near that large. Just a tight 7"x4" roll up will do.

guess I could try some surplus stores and wax me some canvas to make it water resistant. Or just buy a lot of needles and hunker down in front of the sewing machine.

there are no other crafty bast@rds in the continental us?
