Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Chrome Falcon San Remo Track Bike

I just bought one. Here's a link to my flicker page with pretty detailed pics of it.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/4443453...7594296978810/

(Sorry, I'd just put a pic here but I can't seem to figure out how to do it).

I was wondering if anyone here could help me get a date on it and any other background info on it. I know almost nothing about Falcons and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any input.

In response to who Chuck is, he's a guy who has some nice bikes, some of which he's willing to part with. I don't know him personally, I only bought a bike from him, but he was a really nice guy who cared a lot about the bikes and the sport. He's a semi retired Cat 1 racer. However, not to be a jerk (me) but he's a bit particular about who he sells to, considering that they're mostly vintage bikes, and I want to respect his privacy. So I gave him a link to this forum and told him that if he was interested in posting the bikes here for sale then he could make that decision. Sorry guys, that's the best I can do right now.
