Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My new ride

Here's the Peter (don't call me Bud/Ted) Bundy frame I picked up a couple of weeks ago. All the parts save the rear wheel came from the parts bin. I'm running a 42X15 fixed w/ a 16 on the freewheel side
I have about 200km on it now and other than a few of forgetting not to freewheel brain farts I've managed to stay alive, Although I don't think I'll be removing the brakes anytime soon!
All in all a pretty satisfying build, I can see my geared bikes gathering some dust.

Yes it's a Mavic Cosmos.

As far as the rest of the parts; Easton bar and post, Specialized stem, Aspide saddle, Campy {Victory?}crank, Gipiemme brakeset,105 levers Surly/Velocity rear wheel.

A real mixed bag from the spares box, the brakes, bar and stem are NOS the rest are well used but still in decent shape.
