Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I think I have some light gray housing sitting around somewhere at the shop. If I can find it, I'll give it to you for free. I may only have short pieces though. How much do you need?

First off, what all are you hooking up? Just brakes i assume? Front only?

If its front only... like... less than 2 feet.

I don't know if it's light enough, but Shimano has the XTR cable kit in grey. High quality cable and housing for $20-25.

Derailer and brake housing are different things. You can use either for brakes, but modern derailers have to have derailer housing.

V-O has some interesting options:

https://store.velo-orange.com/index.p...es/cables.html

https://store.velo-orange.com/index.p...ads-parts.html

I like the metallic braided stuff in particular.

I use Jagwire in "Ice Grey" in bulk for all my bikes, that way it looks like I have Dura-Ace/XTR without having to buy the $$$ Shimano kit.
