I was wondering if they are super uncomfortable, or if by chance the looks are deceiving?
oh, I am talking about the seat itself not just the rails...

I haven't, but if you have a specific one in mind it might help other people give better input. The road forum is definitely a better place to ask this too.

Ive ridden a c64 (all carbon SLR) and if the SLR is comfy for you the SLR will be comfy. its less about the carbon and more about the shape. if you like the shape of a saddle (comfy) then it will be comfy all carbon.
I'd love to have a all carbon flite.
