Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Mack/Gromada Hubs

Are these still made? If so, can anyone post that email address again? I know it was up here a while ago but I can't find it in my searches. Thanks

Here

but more specifically, here

Or I guess I could just tell you that it's probushomo@o2.pl, but that seems so easy.

I have a set of high flange 28h front and rear, double sided fixed, and they are seriously the most beautifuly thing I have ever seen (in that industrial sort or way). They are the smoothest hubs ever. I've never ridden Phils, but from what I've seen and heard, and from the sets I've held in my hand, they are on par with them. The machining is beautiful. Mine even came with two gorgeous, beefy lockrings. Shipping from Poland was surprisingly fast too.

And before I forget, it's partly in the details that make them so nice - recessed holes for the spoke heads, easy to remove sealed bearings, non-slipping nuts, etc. Absolutely perfect.
