Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

It's a good thing that smaller wheel is aero bladed. Wouldn't want unnecessary wind resistance.

Unicycle saddle? Boooo. Put a white perforated Selle on there and be awesome. Also, Deep-V's.

by leaning just like any other bike.

The saddle leads me to suspect the rider swings wildly back and forth. I would definetly ride one.

i'd imagine that would only happen during uneven acceleration and deceleration. and would be fun as hell too. imagine though getting this thing up to speed? how cool would it be! ****in' deadly is what. i want to ride it.

Man, I'm thinking about this more and more... I wonder how hard it is to keep upright at low speeds? If you can trackstand on that thing, you deserve a medal.

i wonder if you wedge that big wheel so it's immobile if you can pedal yourself around in upright circles.

and then be a hamster for halloween.

I was thinking it would be cool if there was a brake. Get up to speed, jam on the brakes and just roll head over heels at 30km/h!

I saw one of those (w/scooter engine) ridden on TV. They are hellaciously difficult to ride, esp to start with. When you start you swing back, when you stop you swing forward. So the uni saddle is probably a good idea. Also, it's a b!tch just to keep on a straight line.

Unicyclists don't have 50 pounds of steel and rubber levered over their head such that their centre of gravity is very hard to balance laterally.
