Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Those must be some super-low drops if they are hitting the bar on that lady's bike way down there.

just cut up a nice leather jacket from a thrift store and you can have leather whatever you'd like, plus leftover.

so now we can't even get secondhand stuff? come on...

on a similar(or, alternately, more evil) note, i got this ripped up fur coat from the goodwill yesterday. they can't sell fur, for some weird reason, because last time i tried to buy it they took it and said they were throwing it away. so this time i stole it, and i'm making a hat and mittens with fur on the inside....awesome.

I woudl assume its to protect the tube from the shoes that are swinging by every time they get on/off the bike. After all, one of the big advantages to frames built like that is the fact that you dont have to lift your leg as high to get on.

I would imagine it's to prevent paint scratches whilst locking up.
