Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

crank arms

its time to splurge a little on my first fixie, a 2001 black and green pista, i want to buy a new crankset online, but cant decide which crank arm length to get, im happy with the length i have now, but checked the stock cranks on the bike and couldnt find anything that told me how long they were, where do i measure from to find the length of those bad boys?

Center of BB spindle to center of pedal spindle. Many will say it's manditory to have 165mm, but I have never had a problem with my 170mm Nuovo Record Faux Pistas on a road conversion.
