i was just recently riding my fixie, and my pedal skipped on the ground on a turn. the problem is that my chain fell off. so i walked all the way home. my question is, how do you go about putting the chain back on?

hmm... your gonna need to ship it to the manufacturer of the chain and then to the maker of the wheel, its a long proscess but it is worth it

no way! wrong!
all he needs is a new crankset, perferably one of the "cottered" kind the kids are talking about these days.
why make him go through all that trouble?

I had this happen to me once, it was quite scary since I was going through traffic. Anyway, I consulted a bike mechanic friend of mine and he said the only way to get the chain back on with the correct chainline is to relace your wheel to a Deep V. Blue, gold, pink will suffice. Non machined only.
