2006 Battys - post 'em, read 'em, and weep
Ok folks, it is time resurrect the age old and forgotten untradition of the SingleSpeed and FixedGear Battys.
History: started back in 2003 by our now-absent superchivo (I might steal his name...it brings power!), these awards served no purpose at all. The structure was as follows:
Nominate a SS/FG forum member's thread/post/etc based on humor, usefulness, or complete inanity (dare I say it was ironical?). Refrain from insulting someone. This is an example of an insult that will not be tolerated:
"I nominate William Karsten (Sailor On Bike) for this years biggest idiot because he put his chain on backwards."
Now, not only it this against forum guidelines, but it defeats the purpose of the Battys. Let's try thi one again, but with MORE ZAZZ!
"I nominate William Karsten (Sailor On Bike) for this years Battys because he put his chain on backwards."
There. Better now, isn't it? Any insults will be deleted and the offending forum member will have to take a time out and miss juice-n-cookies during Storytime.
So, on February 30th (or anytime before that if the thread dies out) we will tally the votes , and I will send whoever is nominated (with proof) the most times, a pair of my socks.
Let the Battys begin.

I nominate 11.4 for all that knowledge he dropped about hubs and wheelbuilding in the campy fragility dicussion last week, and all the knowledge he drops on a regular basis, and for doing so in a totally selfless, ego free manner.

From anachronistic high wheelers to funky fresh 7-11 digs.
Edit: I've always wanted him to translate the foreign phrases he always uses but I suppose some mysteries are left to be solved by bunk auto translation websites..
