Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Fuji or Bianchi? Noob ?s

hey all,

im just starting to look at fixies, because i want to try something new. the Track and Pista both seem to be in my budget and both are good starters from what i hear. i wanted to hear some opinions on the two, and definatly am open to any other suggestions. thanks in advance!

to make this thread not a complete waste by the quick reference to what everyone seems to be the "end all" of "which bike?" questions... between the fuji and the bianchi i find they are pretty similar as far as the performance is concerned. i find the pista looks a little more refined for my tastes, especially now that the chrome is gone, the fuji has very much a road racer paint job.

i would also take a gander at the schwinn madison... that's a sexy budget bike!
