Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

yeah? you think a bike box will keep it damage free?

i was looking at cases, but there's nothing @ any of my LBS and this move is rather spur of the moment (two weeks from tomorrow).

a box is fine and its free- but if you ride delta they'll charge you 100 bones. unless you can put the bike in peices somehow under their size limit.

I vote for bike boxes. I've disasembled and shipped back and forth 3-4 times now, no problems. I always check it in on my flight. Peace of mind and no delayed gratification.

I"ll be here for about another year....then it's either New Haven or hole up somewhere in NYC.
