Also got to talk about the NJS issue in depth. Apparently before late 2007 620 out of 4000 riders were on VIVALO frames in Pro Keirin. 2nd only to Bridgestone/Anchor. When you see how old-school the factory is, that is really impressive.
Panasonic was 3rd most popular.

Kusaka has now parted with 3 of the old welders/staff, and has 2 new staff on board.
They have started a new brand called OCEAN, and are aiming at NJS certification in 3 years time.
(yasashi), Kusaka-San, showed me around his workshop for 2 hours, so I got a few snaps.
They are also doing street Keirin frames, with modified geometry for street tyres, high bb's, straight forks,
700c bar spins etc.....Was the best day I had in Japan so far.
Yeah I saw that theyre doing the street frames. Pretty awesome and only ¥72,000 retail. ****ing cheap. That puts em right under the cost of the Panasonics too.
Personally Id rather have the Vivalo...aaaand Im planning to order one this summer for my wife.
Weve chosen the sizing already...its gonna be a wee little frame.

Do you have any pics of the Vivalo geometry in sizes between 54-56cm (top tube)?

Its already been stated what theyll go for. If youre talking about the street Vivalos...or シティピスト (City Pisto)as they call them. Theyre already being sold and its a lot less than the Panasonics. ¥72,000/ $677.00 USD
Not sure about what that bike is above. Maybe thats what they actually look like not the pic in the link below.

I found this on Yahoo auctions last night - will somebody on this forum PLEASE buy it. It's a work of art. A Makino - not NJS, but better than anything made for keirin. And it's sat at about ¥30,000 for a day now. I don't want or need another steel track frame, but for someone who does it's a must buy.

^That was the first time in a few years that I've physically laughed at something on the internet.

Thank you bikeforums. You make the world a better place. Or, at least you sometimes counteract all the stuff you do to make the world a worse place...

Hey thats my friends shop that I help out. If anything English gets sent his way I am the one that deals with it LOL
By the way pricing is from 72,000yen which means most likely it will be a little more than that.
The silver in the pic is a 57cm and 75000yen + tax. Headset was Shimano 105 (non-NJS) and BB was Hatta (NJS).
