Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

A bike for which to trade your first-born...

Just kidding... Well, I am, anyway. I dunno about the rest of you dirty pirates. ANYWAY, check it out:

http://bhovey.com/Masi/MasiVisit/pages/13.htm

That's Faliero Masi's magic hand on the saddle. 1971, beneath the bleachers at the Vigorelli Velodome.

Check out the whole site whill you're there.

F*********ck... I wish I had a Flux Capacitor.

i swear this picture (save for the Masi celebs) is from my LBS, complete with the tight jeaned skinny dude with scraggly facial hair and rat's nest and thick leather watch strap, and the onlooking asymetrical haircut guy with plastic frames, surplus shirt, and skinny black jeans.

*ducks*

agreed; proto emo et al only added to the awesomeness in that no matter what you do it's inescapable.
