Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Here's some info on the Vuelta fixed wheelsets on eBay

So, I emailed the seller bikeisland-com for some specs on the Vuelta fixed gear wheelsets you have all seen on eBay or on their Bikeisland.com website. Here's the reply I got:

Hello and thanks for your interest in our wheel sets. The hubs, cog and lock ring are made by Joytech and branded Vuelta XRP. The spokes are stainless but I have no idea who made them. They are straight gauge, not butted.
The Vuelta warranty is for 2 years against defects. Typically, stripped parts are not covered by warranties but we'll examine each claim on a case by case basis. Any warranty claims can go thru us or Vuelta. For more info on the warranty visit www.vueltausa.com
Anyone here feeling lucky?

What can the spokes be if they are not straight-gaged or butted? Magical?
