This is how they control him. They look just alike (twins). Sorry, but they are not very sexy.

(Many of us are old enough to remember this innocent wonder. NJS and track bikes are, I suspect, more than just a phase or fad. We appreciate cultures different from our own, and will be inspired by the old-school asthetic. Enjoy respectfully, please. I don't want the thread locked due to nonsense. Thanks.)

Okay, here is Guiron in action! You can see that his blade head is so deadly, that the mighty Gamera cannot face him head on!

...And yet Guiron has a fatal weakness! What is it? You shall see!!!

Well, ironically...even though Guiron is near invincible with his blade head and ninja-stars (that shoot from his head!), Gamera defeats him by flipping him upside down. Yes...his weapon is also his vunerability, as the blade gets stuck in the earth, and mighty Gamera blows his head off with a well aimed cruise missile.

Okay folks, the panel is open for discussion! (friendly, on-topic discussion) Yatta!

Next up: King Seesar!

Many of us are old enough to remember this innocent wonder.
I was born the year that movie was made. I saw it when I was five years old and it freaked me out.

I had nightmares about that knife-head ninja-star-nostril thing for weeks.

Great thread.

Heh...My three year old will watch anything. He's seen nearly every kaiju and Ultraman film ever, but for some reason Guillon (Guiron, or however you want to spell it, but its meant to sound like guillotine, so Guillon is better) scares the bejesus out of him.

Only in the uncut Japanese version...unfortunately, the American TV version, which most of us have probably seen, cut out the beheading part.

oh damn! There's a ton of Kaiju modern day Japanese vynil stuff. My other collecting fixation. Of course aside from trackbikes, it also fuels my art as well. There's a hot figure that's called a Bemon which I painted for a collector. Those are smoke stacks on top of his head. Very similar to Hedorah.

That's cool! I immediately thought of Hedorah. Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster was my very first kaiju theater experience.

It's funny that some mention the dread and terror caused by Guiron, as his sole purpose was to be the bodyguard of the Terrans. They ate the brains of children. I wonder if that got edited out of the U.S. version as well?

For this to really be a trip down memory lane, 'dipper needs to first update this thread and then - when there is a less than satisfactory amount of oohing and/or ahing - threaten to stop posting because people aren't being adequately appreciative of his efforts to "educate" them about Kaiju.
