Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Planet Bike Superguard

Anyone know anything about these chain locks? MEC is selling them for an incredibly low price---less than 40 CDN. Looks very tempting. A search turns up only one short BF thread about them where the consensus is "it's not worth it; they're unproven". Is this right?

Well...how does a lock BECOME proven? Somebody buys it.

I say go for it and post the results.

Maybe I will, it *looks* pretty beefy at least and will scare off the serious crack heads. I would hate to be the one to prove that it sucks.
