That and the Atlantic/Caribbean/Gulf hurricane season in 2005 was the one of the strongest recorded. Where as 2006 was one of the weakest. But right, I do think global warming can be attributed to wider extremes most noted in patterns like El Nino (imagine a tilde over the second 'n').
Last winter it was mostly in the 50s and 60s (F) and this winter it has hardly broken 40. What goes around comes around I suppose.
