Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

nyc to minneapolis--- stupor bowl X!!!

i am currently looking for more kids to solidify a cargo van to take from nyc all the way to the snowy tundra or minneapolis to race in one of the funnest alleycats of the year, the tenth annual stupor bowl. there are tons of sponsors and a few different kinds of races and contests wrapped up in this weekend. so far we have calculated it to be around $104 not including gas ($40 rough est.) for the van from thurs to mon. we hope to leave super early on fri. morn and get there about 15 hours later (i know it sounds torturous but if you get the right kids in a van it could be ridiculous).

email. me at fascistconsumerism@hotmail.com if you want in but i have to know by this fri. the 26th of jan.

I wish I could go but I don't have a bike, or at least one that fits and I am of the age where parental concent would be needed. Also are you the dude who was on the train with the stupor bowl mess bag? I saw some cat on the c train with a first place stupor bowl bag and was really curious. I am the shy type so I kept to myself.

See you there! It will be insane. I am making some over the top stuff for that race. It should take me about 9 hours to get there. I can't wait to get there and freeze my ass off.
