Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

STOLEN BKLN: White Unmarked fixed

<Long shot>

My girlfriend recently moved to Brooklyn and just had her bike stolen two days ago. It is a straight white, unmarked fixed with black formula to black cxp22s. It has a white brake lever and tea-pot bell. It was taken from the Park Slope/Adelphia area. If the rider is not a short girl with steps in her hair, they may be the culprit. Thanks.

Yeah, I am always interested in how bicycles are stolen - the method, the lock, the lock up, et cetera.

Hope you find it and I'm not in NYC or I'd keep an eye out.

I figured a PM would work. I think putting my girlfriend's contact info on the web wouldn't be the greatest thing straight off.

STORY:
I love her to death, but not the greatest with locking. She's a nanny for these people and rides her bike from Bay Ridge to these folks house on Grand Ave. It's snowing, she is with the kids who are 1 and 3 and runs them inside really quick and can't carry her bike inside and figures it'll be fine. When she gets the kids settled and goes to get it, gone. I thought that was an obvious ending to the story, but she's a lot more trusting than I am.

Any ups on getting a new setup in the area for cheap would be great. She talked to a friend that knows the King Kog crew as well as some place in philly that is supposed to have cheap frames to convert.

Wow, between your bike and squid's i decided to keep my bike bike off the streets for a day or two until this theft activity eases up a bit.
Anyways, will be on the look out for said bikes as well.
