    wheel recommendations

    i just picked up a mid/late - 80s trek 400. it's going to be my next fixie. i'm looking for any recommendations on wheels. i'm looking to spend somewhere between 150 - 300. any recommendations?

    for 300 you can buy two open pros, ~60 spokes, and two harris cyclery track hubs, and maybe have enough left over for a cheapo truing stand and a spoke wrench.

    Can't go wrong here. Formula makes good hubs and Mavic makes good wheels. I run these in black as well and I can't complain.

    That is a pretty good deal. I think mine were near $180.
