Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

"Euro style" workstands

Euro style workstands

Anyone know where to get a stand like this one:

the one in the pics is by Lllewelyn bikes, hand made, and $295. I need something a little more modest. Also, if someone's got DIY plans, please post

It isn't exactly the same, but look at the Minoura RSX. It holds the bike at the BB shell and fork, and is quite cheap. Performance has a similar model in their Spin Doctor line.

It's funny that you call it "Euro style" when the very example you give is made by an Aussie. Blowin' my mind!

I think I paid around $200.00 for a similar one from Dave at Southwest Frameworks. Here is the link.
