Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

among other things.

portland cops target cyclists. particularly messengers. after having portland cops effectively take a few paychecks out of my pocket with a swipe of the pen, annoyance with hippies, hipsters, and anarcho-fascists, i left. c-bus came up first...i believe i can make it work for me.

Yeah, that sucks. I've never personally been targeted, cops don't seem to care much on the East side of the river, and when I'm downtown I haven't run into any real problems either. But yeah, the hippies can get old, and definitely the anarchists, and some of those pretentios hipsters that are simultaneous holier-than-thou vegans and chain smokers (go figure).

sellout.

I'm telling you Ian. All you needed to do to become invisible to the cops is to start wearing a helmet, tights, and one of those freakishly bright neon green commuter jackets. Oh yeah, and several blinkie lights wouldn't have hurt either. Instead you jumped ship to the frozen tundra. Good luck not getting eaten by polar bears or invaded by canadians.

J/K...good luck w/ the new city bud.

If you make it to the podium, you can yell out your real hometown like Zak. "PITTSBURGH!" If you'd like to somehow carpool or fly with me, I can PM you my flight information (flying out of Indy on May 25th at 5:50 AM).

Drive the 70 miles down to Athens, and come riding with us Athenians in our beautiful hills.

Or come to our race on 2/10.

Is C-Bus your new home? Cool! I wish you goodluck in your new digs!

It was a weird for me to move to Philly after living all my life in the Bronx. Sometimes I think to myself... "I must be crazy!" But in the end, the change was good for me. I have better opportunity here. I will make the best of it.

I will suggest looking into Victorian Village apartments. Great location, modest pricing. Tivoli Apartments are nice, there are a few others in that area that are pretty nice, but the Tivoli I know are because I lived there. Pretty cheap, too.

You should let me move in with you so I can move back there. The weather here isn't depressing enough, and despite getting paid well, there's nothing to do and the people/kids/scene/art/culture sucks. The city's atmosphere is boring and lame.

**** Charlotte.
