Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

BOSTON - help a friend get her wheels back!

last night my dear friend kari had her wheels stolen while she was visiting a friend near the corner of beacon st. and park dr. (sort of halfway between kenmore square and brookline, on the bu campus)

the wheels were handbuilt at revolution with black, non-machined deep v's and black formulas. i have only seen them a few times, but i seem to recall them having black spokes. don't take that as the gospel, though... it's only what i remember. each rim had the revolution fiend sticker on it

if you see anyone riding these wheels that isn't a punk rock girl on an orange angus with risers, please give me a phone call at 508 728 1201... i hesitate to give out my friend's number for obvious reasons, but i'm more than willing to take calls on her behalf... my name is john, if you should have occasion to call.

thanks for looking

[edit] to the mods: i chose not to post this in regional rides/races because there are many boston people who don't necessarily look there and post regularly - i just wanted to make sure anyone in boston that could see this thread did see it... thanks

that sucks, i hope they get returned somehow, it's a shame that it's such a popular combonation of parts that it could very easily never turn up(not criticizing any part of the wheels, i ride formulas myself)

no, i completely agree - it's pretty much the most common wheelset ever, but all the same...
